Our American teachers here at ETHOS are ready to help you accomplish your dreams for using English. This team has been together and helping people like you for over a decade. If you come, they will help you to identify and understand your weaknesses. They will provide the training you need to help you improve those weaknesses. Daily feedback emails will tell you what you did in class TODAY and recommend what to work on in your study time so that you can do better in class TOMORROW! (No other school that we know of provides this kind of feedback!)

Here at ETHOS, we have two classroom English study program choices: 4-hours-per-day and 5-hours-per-day. Each class during the day studies a different subject and you will have several American teachers. The 4-hour program, includes American Pronunciation, Grammar, Conversation, and Reading. The 5-hour program will include those same 4 subjects plus Writing. Each class meeting is 55 minutes and there is a 5-minute break between each class. There is also a 1-hour break for lunch at noon.

Our classes are taught on weekdays, Monday through Friday, and the class ay begins at 9:00 AM. We do not have classes on REGULAR Philippine holidays because the Philippine government requires all businesses in the country to close on those days. So, ETHOS will be closed. No classes will be scheduled on those days and there will be no make-up classes for those days because no lessons will be missed. (You can see the list of ETHOS school holidays for 2025 HERE.)

GROUP class or MAN-TO-MAN?

If you want the best possible result for the money you are going to spend coming to ETHOS, we recommend that you choose GROUP classes, not MAN-TO-MAN. This may sound strange but, students in GROUP classes made more and faster progress than those in MAN-TO-MAN classes. This is because having other students in the class lessens the fear and nervousness that an individual student will naturally have when being alone in a class with an American teacher. GROUP class students also benefit from the extra explanation made by the teacher when their classmates make mistakes. They also benefit from questions that their classmates ask. GROUP class students also often study together outside of class and help one another with difficult assignments. Our GROUP classes have a maximum of six (6) students in one classroom with an American teacher.

We do offer MAN-TO-MAN classes, where a student is alone in class with an American teacher. The cost for MAN-TO-MAN classes is twice cost of GROUP classes! In addition, MAN-TO-MAN class spaces are very limited. If you are interested in MAN-TO-MAN, include that request when you contact us and we will consider it.

FREE Tutoring Sessions For Group Class Students

If you choose GROUP classes, we offer FREE daily after-school MAN-TO-MAN tutoring sessions with an American teacher. In these 15-minute sessions, you can receive help with anything you want. Teachers will be available every school day after school for these sessions. This is just another special feature of our award-winning English program.

Who Can Study At ETHOS?

We accept individuals who are at least 15 years old. Those younger than 15 will be accepted if they come and study together with a parent or a sibling who is at least 15.

How Much Will It Cost?

Your cost will depend upon whether you need housing. ETHOS provides two housing options: HOME STAY and DORMITORY. Of course, we also allow students to stay anywhere they want. Please check out our HOUSING page for the details.
